Charities
Our Church in the World group co-ordinates the church's support for outside organisations
and charities. This is achieved through fund raising at social events,
the encouragement of individual sponsorship or co-ordination of the
congregation's regular donations.
St Andrew's is a Fairtrade church. Tea and coffee served on the premises is Fairtrade.
We also have a monthly Fairtrade stall.
Each year St Andrew's supports Christian Aid in a variety of ways such as Fellowship lunches and a retiring collection.Other charities regularly supported are:
~ Samaritan's Purse - Knit and Natter group
~ Peterborough Food Bank - regular collection box in vestibule
~ Action Aid - annual donation from the Church
~ UNICEF - Jars of Grace during Lent
